General Health & Genetic Testing
A thorough examination is necessary to assess the well-being of your pet and its suitability for reproduction. We provide testing for a wide variety of heritable conditions to ensure the animals in your breeding program are as healthy as they can be.
Each breed has diseases and conditions that they are predisposed to, such as Exercise Intolerance and Collapse (EIC) in Labrador Retrievers or Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) in Boxers.
Crestwood Veterinary Centre is able to provide genetic screening that other clinics in the Edmonton area cannot, including PennHIP Evaluation. We can also arrange echocardiography by a Cardiologist or CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation)testing by an Ophthalmologist.
